Did you know that the way men and women behave in intimate and romantic relationships often has to do with gendered notions of power?

Because of these gender stereotypes, certain behaviours and expectations regarding how men and women should behave in relationships prevent women from fully expressing themselves.

As such, women from all walks of life are sometimes susceptible to coerced sex, unprotected sex, exposure to HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases, unplanned pregnancy, rape and domestic violence.
